This is the brand identity system for a vintage motorcycle and vintage goods company, “The Rusty Hog MFG. Co.”
Rusty Hog sells restored motorcycles and vintage clothes out of their Santa Cruz motorcycle shop. The vision of Rusty Hog is to preserve and revive the heritage of fashion and motorcycle riding and keep alive the traditions that have been passed on from generation to generation.
Year Completed: 2020-2021
The Goal
To establish a brand built on past time regimes, yet through concise design aesthetic, give a modern and progressive character to it’s identity.
Applications
Data collection, schematic designs, design development, mock up documentation. Along with a classic rock playlist pressed on vinyl, a vintage motorcycle fashion look book, and a double sided poster of two iconic motorcycle looks. These are all housed in a tri-fold vinyl sleeve. The choice of color and type style is different than the existing brand aesthetic. This design choice was intentional to emphasize the coexistence of motorcycle’s vintage routes and modern development.
